On The Scene: Madcou Fall Meet
September 8th, 2010 1 comment

It’s always nice to run into some old friends, especially when it’s anything car related. This past weekend Jorge and I went out to the 2nd annual Madcou Fall meet to meet up with some old car friends and pass out stickers and let them know about our car meet that is going on this upcoming weekend. Was really nice to recognize some of the cars that I have seen around other blogs/websites. We sure have jotted down some ideas to take back to the fort and create some new awesomeness in the near future.
Thanks to our friends at Madcou for throwing the event.
On The Scene: Indy British Motor Days

This is a bit belated, it was actually last weekend the day after MDU Round 4. The local British Car Club puts on a little show every year that I always like to make. They have a nice mix of old, modern, performance, and well… not. Old Jags, Triumphs, Bentleys, Loti (obvious plural for Lotus), MGs, Jensens, Minis, pretty much everything is well represented, even a couple oldschool racecars. If it has wonky electrics, it’s here.
There were even a few gems in the parking lot. My favorite, a pretty rad Triumph bobber/chopper/whatever.

Last weekend we were busy at the last Pro-Am event in the region with our friends at Midwest Drift Union. We had the pleasure to pass out a ton of Enthusiast stickers and hangout with an awesome group of drivers and fans. We left with some new ideas for designs and we have a few surprises we’ll be bringing to the table soon.

We sure had a busy time this past week, but we had a chance to visit some old friends at EP Werks here in Indy. It’s a shop ran by two brothers, Ian and Andrew Baas (pronounced “Boss”), that offers a dependable alternative for your German car’s maintenance. The guys gave us a nice tour of the shop, and we saw an oldschool GTI being brought back to life getting a full engine swap. Cant wait to see it done!
You may recognize the name Ian Baas. He has an impressive driving resume which includes currently piloting the APR Motorsports GTI in the Koni Challenge Series, and winning the GT class in the Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona with TPC racing in the #36 Porsche GT3 alongside Randy Pobst, Spencer Pumpelly and Michael Levitas.
Cars are the love and passion for these brothers, I highly recommend stopping by and checking out the shop, knowing these guys, you’ll get the full tour!
